I am currently working on a children’s fantasy series (middle grade/young adult).
Theme
After a family tragedy takes place, a seemingly ordinary young boy stumbles upon a strange world filled with mysterious creatures with strange abilities. But this discovery comes with great responsibility, as his loved ones’ lives are put in danger.
One particular event puts someone dear to him in harm’s way prompting him and his friends to stage a plan to make a rescue attempt. The boy’s courage is put to the test, when he uncovers shocking secrets about him and the new world he has discovered. His seemingly safe and ordinary life is suddenly turned inside out, as his world is changed forever.
Is he strong enough to persevere? Does he have enough power to survive? Or will he suffer the same fate as his loved one? Only time can tell.
