Night…
When I look up at the evening sky
I see your face and your big smile
Your twinkling eyes tell of wonders
Your lips, nose, and ears beguile
And Day…
When I stare at the horizon
I see your tender heart rising
Warm as the sun’s embrace
Soft as cashmere, soothing
Night…
When I look at the ocean at night
Your warm voice echoes with joy
From the deep cold it emanates
Enthusiastic, carefree like a boy
And Day…
And as the world around us narrows
And the leafless trees beg to awaken
The clouds roll with anticipation
Two hearts beat in unison, unshaken
