Poetry 145: We Are Small

We Are Small
by Aidenn A. Spelling

If there were giants
I’d stop walking by myself
I’d be home before sunset
Or might end up in their kitchenette

If there were giants
I’d circle around their legs
Slide under their large feet
Wearing roller blades for speed

If there were giants
I’d fear of getting squooshed
So I’d jump from a tall building
And dangle on one’s earring

But if there were giants
All of us will unite
And work as one unit
To preserve our species

…To protect our lifestyle
…To preserve our way of life
…To guide our children
…To the next generation

If giants did exist
I think we would try to coexist
We would try much harder
And show the world we can do better

THE END
