Poetry 147: A Song for Mom

A Song for Mom
by Aidenn A. Spelling

He loves to sing
Under a tree
He loves to laugh
And jump with glee

He loves to paint
Birds and blue skies
He loves to write
His heart’s desires

He loves to play
With dogs so cute
Run around in
Circles on foot

But when it rains
He cries so hard
His big heart aches
His eyes can’t hide

But clouds roll by
After the storm
And clear the air
Cool breeze will charm

The sun will smile
And share its heat
Birds sing once more
Dream dreams so sweet

THE END
