Poetry 170: It’s a Wonderdog Life (Wonderdog II)

I walk like a piglet
Even snort like one
I sleep like an angel
But snore a ton

I love to eat
I adore my lil’ treats
I nap after a meal
And dream big, never petite

And once I awake
I’ll stretch, I’ll yawn
I’ll wiggle and do butt shakes
I’ll play, I’ll wrestle, and show my brawn

I’m a little piggy angel
My halo shines like gold
Not a mean bone in my body
Just need wings that can flap and fold

So that after a day’s adventure
Of flying and cookie hunting
I’ll retreat back to my den (yawwwnnn)
Ready for another
The next morning…
Or noon…
Or evening…
