“Summertime 2016”
This was taken during Nathan’s 100th anniversary. Wiener lovers (including yours truly) fell in line and gathered to celebrate the event, availing ourselves of 5-cent hotdogs. Yes, you read that correctly–5 cents! That was the price of the famous sandwich when Nathan’s first opened in 1916 in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Time sure flies, but it was an honor to be part of a history-making event even though you were only allowed to buy a maximum of 2 hotdogs. That’s 10 cents as opposed to 8 bucks!
