Poetry 163: A Time for Life

There’s a time for everything
And everything has its time…

A time to frown and a time to smile
A time to weep and a time to laugh
A time to move and a time to stand still
A time to hide and a time to come out
A time to fall and a time to fly
A time to run and a time to slow down
A time to write and a time to think
A time for despair and a time for joy
A time to be carefree and a time to reflect
A time to convict and a time to forgive
A time for complacence and a time to lead
A time to leave and a time to stay
A time for war and a time for peace
A time for hate and a time for love
A time for fall and a time for spring
A time for death and a time for life

Time is very precious
But time isn’t very kind
For life is very short
Yet time is often overlooked

Time flies like the wind
A breeze that feels nice and cool
Grab it while it lasts
For when it’s gone, it’s gone for good

(In memory of Manuel P….a great uncle, husband and father)
