Poetry 112: Across the Ocean (Chapter Two)

Across the Ocean  (Chapter Two)
by Aidenn A. Spelling

On the other side of the globe
Lives a short man in a small cove
With a small dog with a square head
With a tongue that sticks out in red

Each night they sleep side by side
Each night they cuddle with pride
The two of them always dine together
Never a dull moment, like best friends forever

In a place with four seasons
There’s always something going on
People from all sorts of backgrounds
Converge and create diverse sounds

But a bustling city life can quickly turn lonely
Who to reach out to? How to be happy?
With millions of people all crammed in
There must be a way to stop being bottled in

To be continued…
