Poetry 120: Shadows of Fall

Shadows of Fall
by Aidenn A. Spelling

When leaves fall
It leaves a space
Within my soul
I cannot erase

When leaves fall
And colors fade
It sends chills
It makes me afraid

Darkness arrives
It never leaves
It sucks you alive
Like ghostly thieves

Your eyes get red
Your lips turn blue
Your core inverted
Naked and true

When leaves fall
The tides will turn
Mem’ries will roll
Visions will churn
