Poetry 121: If I Had Wings

If I Had Wings
by Aidenn A. Spelling

If I had wings…

I would fly and soar toward the sky
I would flap my wings and and join a flock of birds
I would try and reach for the sunlight
I would rise and touch the moonlight

If I had fins…

I would swim the deepest depths of the ocean floor
I would race with dolphins till the ends of the earth
I would follow the sounds of a whale’s calls
I would fight a great white till the very last brawl

If I had speed…

I would run at lightning speed from one point to another
I would go the distance and not care about getting sore
I would breeze through traffic and arrive at my destination
I would seek adventure and find new worlds to explore

THE END
